He was told this opinion was ‘not inclusive’ and that he should keep his opinion to his ‘own house’, because it was ‘contrary to policy’. A ‘teachable moment’ was ignored in favour of censure because of the intolerance inherent in the sex and gender policy in Scottish schools.
